The individuals that come to the Day Resource Center come in because of a wide array of circumstances. Clients come in because they recently lost their home, their job, or their vehicle while many others have lived on the streets for years and have varied needs that are being addressed. Many of the needs deal with health issues, mental illness, substance abuse, or emotional crisis, and additionally their income and housing are priority needs. Regardless of circumstance or need, anyone who comes to the DRC is in the midst of the most difficult time of their lives.
The DRC facilities and programs address a range of short- and long-term needs, from emergency assistance and basic needs, to obtaining identification, to goal-centered case management, housing and employment. Throughout each phase, the DRC offers care and compassion for each person using the services, enabling confidence and hope to help restore their quality of life.
